LEAD REVIT MEP COORDINATOR

We are looking for an experienced Lead Revit MEP Coordinator to bring their skills and expertise to our client’s specialist contractor firm, on a 12-month contract basis, outside IR35. ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is offering a 6-month contract role, to one skilled individual, who will operate on a hybrid basis from their London office, 2 days a week. Within this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a variety of large-scale Middle Eastern projects, as a part of a supportive and dynamic team. -Competitive hourly rate of £45-£53 (subject to experience). -Hybrid working arrangement (2 days on-site minimum). Responsibilities: -Develop in-depth designs for electrical system, focusing on schematics, project layouts, specifications, and performance calculations. -Support construction stages by overseeing contractor submissions, attending site visits and inspections, and settling design queries and concerns. -Ensure all designs comply with current UK regulations, standards, and building codes, whilst maintaining accuracy across project documents and reports. -Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure the project delivery aligns with design intent and client requirements. -Implement cost and energy solutions, ensuring project efficiency, taking lighting, power usage, energy conservation, and control systems into consideration. We are working with a specialist utilities contractor who are offering one talented individual the opportunity to join their organisation, on a 7-month contract basis. The chosen candidate will be working on-site from our client’s office, located near Leeds. Build your expertise with this opportunity to manage and oversee the ongoing works within a HV substation project. -Competitive day rate ranging between £320-£350 (depending on experience). -On-site working arrangements. Responsibilities: -Act as the assigned Competent Person on a HV substation, overseeing all works, ensuring that operational standards and procedures are being followed. -Observe and ensure that all works are being carried out accurately and in line with industry standards, legislation, and best practices. -Analyse and confirm method statements, documentation, safe systems of work (SSoW), and risk assessment, ensuring all work permits are valid and in place. -Support professional teams, project staff, and subcontractors with technical guidance, allowing for anomalies and issues to be identified and resolved. -Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure up to date and accurate reports and site documentation, whilst assisting with audit and compliance surveys. -Maintain awareness of ongoing industry standards and processes, offer system improvement opportunities, and training to allow for improved project performance. Requirements: -Extensive experience as a Competent Person, or a related role, with the relevant accreditation, ideally working on projects centred around HV substations. -Must possess NG Persons accreditation, as well as CP NSI 6 and NSI 8. -Strong technical background, with an understanding of relevant electrical, civils, utilities, or related systems, with a grasp of key legislations, regulations, and standards. -Effective communication and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate with site professionals, clients, stakeholders, and contractors. -Solid interpreting skills with regards to drawings, method statements, specifications, and documents, with the ability to resolve any arising issues. -Ability to work independently whilst managing multiple concurrent site tasks and activities, with an understanding of how to prioritise tasks. -Possession of a full UK driving license, with the willingness to travel when required.
