Blueprint Recruitment Solutions are representing a leading company in the UK Water Sector, who have an immediate opportunity for Electrical Engineers (including Senior Level) to join them on a permanent basis in Leeds.

The position comes with a competitive salary, car allowance and a generous benefits package (which includes 7% company pension contribution and Private Health Care).

Key responsibilities: -

  • Assisting with the development of capability statements and the submission of pre-qualification questionnaires, expressions of interest and tenders;
  • Assisting the Project Manager in clarifying the project brief, agreed deliverables, key milestones, project methodology, quality assurance and control strategy;
  • Undertake significant elements of the detailed design; e.g. electrical calculations, single line diagrams, block cable diagrams, load schedules, sketches and reports, to achieve the optimum solution for the project;
  • Checking / approval of outputs as directed.
  • Assess, document and communicate design changes to the Project Manager;
  • Be aware of work requirement and take personal responsibility to work to deliver this to agreed time, cost and quality requirements;
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in full compliance with the Company’s Integrated Management Systems (IMS);
  • Provide technical guidance, support and training to colleagues and assist, where practicable, in mentoring and development of others.

Essential requirements: -

  • Electrical Engineering experience in the UK Water Sector;
  • Specific technical skills in the design / analysis of water or wastewater infrastructure or non-infrastructure projects;
  • Knowledge/experience of the financial and technical management of projects;
  • Strong interpersonal/team working skills, with a good working relationship with all levels of the organisation, clients and contractors;
  • Familiarity with relevant software packages such as MS Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD etc.

 

Qualifications: -

  • Recognised academic qualifications, Degree, HND, HNC, etc.
  • To have / or to be working towards a recognised professional qualification and membership of appropriate professional bodies
