Our client is a leading UK Water Company who are seeking a Design Coordinator to join them on a permanent basis in the Somerset Region. They are responsible for the delivery of water treatment, wastewater and network projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate to join their Project Delivery Team. The successful candidate will act as an interface between consultants, contractors and operations to ensure designs are delivered within the company’s requirements.
Managing design activities undertaken by external consultants throughout the project delivery.
Preparing and agreeing design briefs, fee proposals, programs and ensuring the design team delivers in line with financial approvals.
Co-ordinating and organizing surveys.
Representing the Client and supporting the Project Manager
Attending workshops and design meetings to review design proposals.
Managing drawing and document administration.
Degree qualified in Engineering and ideally have a Chartered Status.
Strong technical background with detailed knowledge of the water industry and technical standards and systems as well as understanding the key civil, mechanical and electrical design interfaces involved in delivering a project.
Good communication skills.
Understanding of treatment process.
