Join a Leading Delivery Team in the Water Industry Blueprint Recruitment are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our client, a highly respected contractor delivering essential infrastructure projects across the water sector. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to oversee multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ensuring high-quality delivery within time and budget constraints. Based at one of our client's London office, with hybrid working available, this position is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in water and wastewater treatment projects. You’ll play a key role in managing the design, construction, and commissioning of critical infrastructure while maintaining exceptional safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead the successful delivery of water and wastewater projects from initial concept to completion. Maintain strong client relationships and uphold the company's reputation with key stakeholders. Oversee the planning and execution of projects, ensuring all phases meet time, cost, and quality objectives. Promote exceptional health, safety, and quality standards across all direct and subcontracted teams. Manage project budgets, forecasts, and commercial aspects to ensure financial success. Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and construction health & safety best practices. Identify and manage project risks and opportunities to enhance overall efficiency. Support continuous improvement and innovation across the delivery team. Requirements: Project management experience in multi-disciplinary design and construction, ideally in the water industry. Degree or equivalent qualification in construction, engineering, or a related field. Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent accreditation. Strong knowledge of construction contracts (NEC and/or IChemE). Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement. Proven ability to lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver results. Understanding of CDM regulations and health & safety standards in construction. Risk & opportunity management experience. Responsibilities Develop electrical schematics, schedules, specifications, and user requirement documents using templated designs. Liaise with control panel and system integration suppliers, including conducting acceptance tests remotely or on-site. Manage 10–20 projects at various stages, ensuring compliance with project requirements and high-quality assurance. Adapt standard designs to meet individual water company specifications. Oversee procurement, manufacturing, and inspection of components, skids, and control panels. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the design, procurement, and commissioning phases. Requirements Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer, preferably within supplier or contractor organisations. Strong knowledge of electrical design processes and managing multiple concurrent projects. Familiarity with procurement and inspection processes for electrical components and systems. This is a hands-on position with opportunities to contribute to critical infrastructure projects in the electrical power and transmission sector. About Our Client Our client is a well-established contractor specialising in the electrical power and transmission sector. With a proven track record of delivering complex projects, they are committed to providing high-quality engineering solutions. Working across key infrastructure projects, they combine technical expertise with a focus on safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Set out line and level using a range of surveying equipment, including EDM and GPS. Populate Civil Quality Assurance documentation, such as Inspection & Test Plans and Checklists. Act as the site document controller, managing and maintaining Civil drawings. Complete as-built documentation as work progresses. Undertake constructability reviews with the Civil Site Manager and Supervisor, raising Technical Queries (TQs) as needed. Support the Civil site team by obtaining quotes and placing material orders. Requirements Experience in setting out engineering, particularly on electrical power and transmission projects. Proficiency with surveying equipment (EDM/GPS). Familiarity with National Grid substations and standards (NGTS 2.10 & 3.10) is highly desirable. Ability to produce and manage Civil QA documentation.
