Calling all Civil Engineers!

Blueprint Recruitment have an excellent new opportunity for a seasoned Civil Engineer to work alongside an independent Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy on a long-term contract basis in either Birmingham, Manchester or Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the highways and drainage sectors on a variety of exciting residential and commercial projects. If selected, you will be required to operate on a hybrid basis attending the office 2 days per week, however our client is flexible and will be open to less if needed.

Offering all aspects of planning, feasibility, design and supervision within the construction industry, our client operates across many sectors, including Education, Housing. Refurbishment and Commercial. Due to their increasing workload, they are on the lookout for a motivated Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Key responsibilities:

• Undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
• Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
• Work closely with teams to deliver integrated design solutions.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

Key requirements

• Chartered Civil Engineer.
• Experience working in drainage and highways
• Experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
• Sound knowledge in external works design such as utilities, paved and unpaved surfaces, earthworks, access and accessibility, construction logistics, and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices.
• Proficiency in designing within appropriate digital analysis packages including Civil 3D and Microdrainage
