Attention all CRE Engineers!

Blueprint Recruitment have an excellent new opportunity for a motivated CRE Engineer to join an international construction consultancy on a long-term contract basis in Bristol or Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead in providing engineering judgement both in design and construction across various exciting rail projects. The ideal candidate will be able to operate on a flexible basis, working both remotely and one-site.

Our client

With over 50 years of experience in the rail industry, our client has delivered complex and challenging multidisciplinary projects all over the world. Their expertise extends to depots, operations, maintenance analytics and asset management across all aspects of rail, including transport, technical and sustainability assessments and systems infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

·         Lead and prepare design in accordance with Eurocodes

·         Prepare / manage civil / structural engineering design drawings, calculations, reports, and supporting documentation to Network Rail standards / Building Regulations

·         Manage resources, junior engineers and CAD technicians, to complete the deliverables

·         Coordinate and manage engineering activities so that they result in civil / structural schemes that are affordable and meet programme requirements in a safe and environmentally responsible manner for time, cost and quality

·         Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that civil / structural design deliverables meet Network Rail standards / Building Regulations

·         Ensure allocated design and construction contracts include reference to and are compliant with appropriate standards, formal specifications and procedures

Key requirements

·         DPE / CEM / CRE-D experience

·         Technical qualifications to degree in relevant subject

·         Professional Engineer Registration status with the Engineering Council (UK) and be registered with an appropriate professional institution

·         Project and team-running experience in UK consultancy, client, or contractor organisation

·         Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers

·         Excellent engineering, analytical and problem-solving abilities
