Blueprint Recruitment have a fantastic new opportunity for a seasoned MEICA Design Manager to join a leading Water Treatment company on a long-term contract basis in either Hampton or Maple Lodge. As the selected candidate, your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of design engineers in the development of wastewater technical solutions, from initial need statement through optioneering, solution development, value engineering, detail design and construction support.

Our client is a leading Design and Build non-infrastructure solution provider in the UK water sector. They offer a full range of end-to-end services for water and wastewater treatment projects from high-value major projects, through to smaller scale developments.

Key responsibilities:

- Assure the development of cost-effective design solutions within project budget, while prudently managing and communicating solution risks throughout the development process.

· Cultivate collaborative relationships with clients, design teams, construction personnel, and supply chain representatives, emphasizing buildability and supply chain efficiency in design outputs.

· Ensure the completion of sustainable design solutions in compliance with CDM Regulations.

·  Provide design solutions that align with the requirements of the program's systems and governance procedures.

· Negotiate design budgets, monitor performance against the budget, and offer forecasted costs for individual projects to completion.

· Document, monitor, and control design changes to optimize cost efficiency.

· Establish and concur on design costs and program timescales with the Programme Manager.

· Organize necessary work and document the Design Management Plan/Project Execution Plan. Successfully deliver the design stage outputs for each project within the agreed timescale and budget.

Key requirements:

· Experience of technical project delivery in a design-build environment

· Experience in the Wastewater Treatment Industry

· Degree in an engineering-related discipline

· Experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary design teams

· Must be delivery-driven with the ability to set targets, manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives
