Attention all Design Managers!

Blueprint Recruitment has a fantastic new opportunity for a motivated Design Manager to join a Critical Environment specialist group on a contract basis in West Sussex. The successful candidate will be able to attend the office two days per week, collaborating seamlessly with the team on a range of exciting Data Centre projects for a major client of theirs. The ideal candidate will be from a technical hands-on background, and able to manage a team of design engineers.

Key responsibilities:

·         Overseeing projects and design development from stage 4 and beyond

·         Managing the Design Team and making appropriate technical responses

·         Provide technical design guidance and review the multi-disciplinary elements of the design, including supporting safely functional requirements

·         Actively contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of design processes and standards

·         Manage designer performance and make appropriate technical management decisions

·         Plan for effective project implementation, identify key factors, and lead technical planning processes

Key requirements:

·         Technical hands-on background

·         A degree in Engineering or related field

·         Experience working on Data Centre projects

·         Strong leadership abilities, project management, and comprehensive editorial skills

·         Can demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills in technical management
