Calling all Electrical Design Engineers!

Blueprint Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading, multidisciplinary consultancy on a permanent basis in Leeds. This brilliant position will provide the successful candidate with the flexibility to attend the site on a hybrid basis to work on a variety of exciting MoD projects .

You will be joining fantastic team of Electrical Design Engineers within a renowned engineering and environmental consultancy, that has offices throughout the UK and internationally. Our client has extensive experience in property and buildings, environmental consultancy, power and energy, roads, highways and rail infrastructure, urban and regional planning.

Key responsibilities:

• The design and specification of all electrical systems
• Develop the client’s requirements into viable system designs
• Produce specifications for supplier/subcontractor deliverables
• Develop and manage the control philosophy for HVAC systems
• Manage all aspects of HVAC control system design and the electrical equipment within the HVAC system
• Produce design documentations, including, Cable schedules, Software specification, Single line drawings, Termination schedules and Electrical load schedules
• Maintain and develop positive client relations
• Attend project and client meetings
• Ensure design work is in accordance with departmental procedures
• Complete site surveys and inspections
• Ensure the understanding of project briefs

Key Requirements:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering
• Previous Building Services experience
• Able to work independently
• Awareness of the principles of building physics
• Ability to be client facing 
• Efficient interpersonal and communication skills
