Blueprint Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join an independent Engineering Consultancy, on a contract basis.

The selected candidate must be able to commute to the London office on a hybrid basis.

Our client is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to be responsible for overseeing projects and ensuring Electrical inputs are correctly designed and installed.

Key Responsibilities:

· Ensure design work is in accordance with departmental procedures

· Produce detailed calculations using software tools, including, Amtech, ETAP, EasyPower, AutoCAD and Revit

· Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems

· Complete site surveys and inspections

· Ensure the understanding of project briefs

· Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams through the design process

· Maintain and develop positive client relations

- Reviewing progress, including reporting any anomalies and changes of scope to the project lead

- Attend project and client meetings when required

Key Requirements:

· Critical Engineering experience

· Past Consultancy experience is desirable

· A degree in Electrical Engineering

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Prior experience working on Data Centres with a focus on MEP systems

- Strong communication skills

- Extensive experience using Amtech, ETAP, EasyPower, AutoCAD, or Revit

- Working knowledge of the principles of building physics

- Previous experience leading projects is beneficial

- Ability to be client facing
