Responsibilities:

• Deliver electrical design projects from feasibility to completion and handover.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clients, architects, structural engineers, surveyors, and contractors.
• Attend project meetings to provide technical expertise and progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, health & safety requirements, and industry best practices.
• Advise clients and architects on energy efficiency strategies to reduce carbon footprints and improve sustainability.
• Design and specify site-specific electrical systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Conduct technical reviews of contractor proposals and oversee on-site installation and maintenance procedures.
• Utilise specialist software, including CAD, Revit (BIM), Trimble (Amtech), and Dialux, to design and analyse electrical systems.

Requirements:

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or a related field.
• Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within a consultancy environment.
• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards chartership) with a recognised institution such as CIBSE or IET.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services, including design and installation.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and project teams.
• Ambition and a proactive approach, with a keen eye for detail and organisational skills.
