Electrical Design Engineer

Blueprint Recruitment are working alongside a reputable international defence Company, who are on the lookout for a motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. This position is perfect for individuals that are less hands on and more experienced in producing surveys, reviewing designs and ensuring standards are upheld. If selected, you will be required to operate on a remote basis, with the occasional site office visit once a month in the south-west.

As the successful candidate, you will be joining a leading defence company that operates in a variety of international markets. They provide unrivalled engineering support to naval, land, air and nuclear operations, frontline support, specialist training and asset management.

Key responsibilities

• Produce electrical design surveys and review designs to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain detailed electrical design plans and specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs with broader project objectives.
• Ensure that all electrical systems adhere to safety regulations and technical standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, ensuring that design plans are executed correctly.

Key requirements

• Proven experience in electrical design.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design processes, and relevant industry standards.
• Ability to conduct surveys, review designs, and produce detailed documentation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate design proposals and make recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience working in collaborative team environments.
• UK security clearance or the ability to obtain one due to the nature of the work.
