Attention all Electircal Design Engineers!

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we have a brilliant new opportunity for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary design contractor on a long-term contract basis in Snodland or Bewl. This fantastic position is outside IR35, and will see the successful candidate working on a variety of AMP7 Water Treatment Projects. If selected, you will be expected to operate on a hybrid basis, attending the office 1-3 days per week.

Our client has delivers innovative technologies, engineering and consulting services. Their multidisciplinary teams develop, design, manufacture and implement breakthrough solutions within the water and environmental sectors.

Key responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems for water treatment facilities, including power distribution, motor control centers (MCCs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and SCADA systems.
  • Develop electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams using CAD software such as Amtech
  • Specify electrical components and equipment such as transformers, switchgear, panels, and cables.
  • Ensure designs meet all applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations, including NEC, IEC, and IEEE standards.

Key Requirements

  • Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Water Treatment Engineering / Electrical Engineering or related subjects.
  • Experience of working within a contractor design environment is beneficial.
  • Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools including Amtech/Prodesign, Dialux/Relux, NBS and Microsoft packages. Any HV tools will also be beneficial.
  • Awareness of the principles of building physics such as passive design solutions and fabric first approaches.
