Are you an experienced Electrical Resident Engineer looking for your next exciting challenge?

Blueprint Recruitment have partnered with a fantastic engineering consultancy, who are looking for a talented Electrical Resident Engineer to oversee the electrical operations for an exciting data centre project in North Acton. This is a long-term contract position that requires the successful to operate on-site 5 days per week, attending client meetings and feeding back with the design team in office to ensure the build is in line with the design.

Your Role

As the Electrical Resident Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the project’s electrical components are built in line with the design and specifications. Reporting directly to the project manager, you’ll:

  • Attend client meetings, providing updates and technical insights.
  • Act as the liaison between the design team and on-site operations.
  • Oversee and inspect electrical installations to ensure compliance with design standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot any electrical issues during construction.
  • Collaborate closely with the on-site mechanical engineer to maintain project synergy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all electrical works are carried out according to the project design and relevant standards.
  • Monitor progress and quality of electrical installations on-site.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and clients, to align project goals.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on the progress and any issues identified.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in electrical engineering within a construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of data centre or similar high-specification projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical designs and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Availability to work 5 days per week on-site.
