This job opportunity for an Electrical Engineer is one you don’t want to miss!

The successful candidate will be joining an Advisory and Technical Consultancy, on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid position, which offers the successful candidate the opportunity to operate flexibly in the Exeter or Croydon offices. Our client is expanding its dynamic team due to the increasing demands for a range of services including, Bridge, Highways Rail, Structural and Geotechnical Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems - power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc

· Checking the design work of fellow team members and external designers in accordance with departmental procedures

· Managing own workload, updating forward plan of workload regularly and working to time allocations

· Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including, Amtech and in-house developed tools etc

· Preparing conceptual designs with a view to ensuring safe, practical, and economic solutions in accordance with current standards

- Reviewing progress, including reporting any anomalies and changes of scope to the project lead

Key Requirements:

Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering/ Electrical Engineering or related subjects

· Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and independently when necessary

- Experience of working in a design consultancy is beneficial

- Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools including Amtech

- Awareness of the principles of building physics such as passive design solutions and fabric first approaches

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
