Blueprint Recruitment has a brilliant opportunity for a driven Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading Engineering Consultancy, on a permanent basis in Bristol.  

If selected, you will be client facing play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of various Electrical Systems for exciting Commercial, Residential and Hospital projects.

Our client has a creative Engineering team of Engineers, Designers and Technical Specialists, who provide innovative Engineering, MEP and Design services in the following sectors, Defence, Education, Data Centres and Transport.

Key Responsibilities:

· Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools

· Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems

· Check the design work of fellow team members and external designers in accordance with departmental procedures

· Managing own workload, updating forward plan of workload regularly and working to time allocations

· Supporting more junior staff when required

· Attending meetings with clients whilst maintaining and developing positive client relations

· Preparing conceptual designs with a view to ensuring safe, practical, and economic solutions in accordance with current standards

- Reviewing progress, including reporting any anomalies and changes of scope to the project lead

Key Requirements:

· Strong understanding of Revit

· Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a relevant subject

· Strong experience working as an Electrical Design Engineer

· Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team when required

- Experience of working in a Consultancy is beneficial

- Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools

- Ability to be client facing

- Awareness of the principles of building physics
