Calling all Associate Design Engineers!

Blueprint Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a respected Mechanical and Engineering Consultancy, with the ability to work on a hybrid basis, in the Guildford office.

Our client specialises in a range of sectors, including, Technology, Commercial, Lifestyle, Industrial and Life Sciences and are recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team due to their increasing workload to work on exciting Healthcare, Hospital and Data centre projects.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Representing the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors’ teams
  • Leading medium size projects and undertaking a client facing role in all stages of Engineering projects
  • The development of trainees, Graduates and Engineers
  • Developing the applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes
  • Producing survey tests and reports on existing Mechanical installations
  • Responsible for making day to day decisions on project progress and providing advice to client
  • The checking and validation of designs and specifications
  • Carries out engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards

Role Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant subject
  • Experience leading medium or large sized projects
  • Good knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation
  • Working towards a Chartered Engineer status
  • Confident in specification design/drawing for several building types
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications word, excel etc
  • Sound understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy
  • Ability to work independently and as a multi-disciplinary team
  • Act in an ethical manner and follow the principles of the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines of the Group
