Electrical Design engineer

Blueprint Recruitment are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy on a long-term contract basis in London. This role will primarily focus on Stage 3-4 design work for a high-rise residential project, while also contributing to ongoing healthcare and decarbonization/heat network projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, with proficiency in working with both hardware and cloud-based systems.

Due to their increasing workload, they are on the lookout for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to a major high-rise residential project, ensuring designs meet all regulatory and client requirements
• Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems - power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc.
• Undertakes a client facing role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for Mechanical installations, systems, equipment, facilities.
• Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools.
• Checking the design work of fellow team members and external designers in accordance with departmental procedures.
• Preparing conceptual designs with a view to ensuring safe, practical, and economic solutions in accordance with current standards.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in electrical design engineering, particularly with Stage 3-4 design for residential, healthcare, or similar sectors.
• Familiarity with working in cloud-based environments and using Anydesk VPN or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of hardware systems and cloud-based collaboration tools.
• Ability to manage complex designs, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the flexibility to work both in-office and remotely.
