Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking for an exciting new opportunity?

Our client, a leading multidisciplinary consultancy, is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in London on a permanent basis. This hybrid role offers the chance to contribute to high-quality refurbishment and new build projects across the residential, commercial, and education sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions. You should be confident in your ability to manage projects, liaise with clients, and work collaboratively within a team. An eye for detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to work are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Electrical Engineering expertise on a variety of refurbishment and new build projects.
  • Design and develop electrical systems for residential, commercial, and education buildings, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Carry out site inspections, surveys, and reports to support project development and delivery.
  • Prepare detailed specifications, drawings, and calculations to support project requirements.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry regulations, technologies, and sustainability practices.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in electrical design within the built environment, ideally in consultancy.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, including BS7671 and Building Regulations.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Amtech, and Revit (desirable).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
