This opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer is one you don’t want to miss!

Blueprint Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join a respected Building Services Consultancy, on a long-term contract basis. If selected, you will be required to attend the Sunbury- on-Thames office 3 times per week, to work on exciting Commercial projects.

The successful Design Engineer will work with enthusiastic Engineers and Technicians and play a key role in all aspects of design, whilst liaising closely with Clients.

Our client has a wealth of experience in offering Design, Engineering and Consultancy services in multiple sectors, such as, Residential, Industrial and Retail.

Key Responsibilities:

· Thoroughly review and comprehend project briefs to identify client requirements and expectations

· Seek clarification on any ambiguous points and communicate effectively with project stakeholders

· Develop comprehensive and specifications for various electrical building services systems

· Collaborate with the BIM team to create models and drawings

Represent the company at meetings with clients and contractors

· Conduct thorough site surveys and inspections

· Monitor ongoing site works to ensure compliance with design specifications

Prepare detailed reports and technical notes, documenting project progress

· Adhere to all quality and environmental, and governance processes

· Review project progress, identifying and reporting any anomalies

· Assist in the technical development of junior staff members

Key Requirements:

· Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field

· Chartered engineer status or working towards

· Possess a proactive work ethic

· Proficient in a range of digital tools, including Amtech/Prodesign, Dialux/Relux etc

· Familiarity with high voltage tools is beneficial

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Knowledgeable about energy reduction methods and approaches for decarbonising buildings

· Understanding of energy and carbon-related data capture and analytics

· Awareness of the principle of buildings physics, including passive design solutions and fabric-first approaches

· Strong report writing skills

· Ability to manage personal workload and make decisions to meet project goals
