Blueprint Recruitment are seeking an Electrical Resident Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy on a long-term contract basis in Cardiff. Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Resident Engineer to support a high-profile data centre project which is set to begin in March. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist in mission-critical environments who is capable of managing complex electrical installations while ensuring efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on-site.
  • Ensure all electrical work aligns with design specifications, project requirements, and industry standards.
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to resolve technical issues.
  • Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and recommending solutions.
  • Review and approve technical documentation, reports, and site records.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Resident Engineer or similar role within data centre projects.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for mission-critical environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively on-site.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and project teams.
