Blueprint Recruitment are working alongside a leading engineering consultancy who are on the lookout for a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join their Risk Assessment Team as Head of Section. This opportunity is located in either Aberdeen or London, an requires the selected candidate to operate on a hybrid basis.
Reporting directly to the Head of Department, you will lead a growing team covering offshore fixed and floating structures, pipelines (transmission and distribution), onshore process plant and increasingly renewables including wind, solar and storage. As Head of Section, your main responsibility will be to provide leadership to the technical specialists and to the engineers/consultants through your Team Leads.

Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Head of Department in designing, implementing, and achieving the Departments tactical and annual operating plans.
- Plan, co-ordinate, support, follow-up and improve the financial performance of the unit to ensure long term sustainable operations.
- Ensure efficient and consistent delivery of services in line with customer expectations and in line with required standards and best practice guidelines.
- Responsible for HSSEQ within the team, ensuring standards of quality, safety and wellbeing are met.
- Focus on driving the growth of the business through implementation of people management strategies and a well aligned workforce plan.
- Drive a culture of excellence in technical delivery and in project management
