Blueprint Recruitment are working alongside a leading design and build contractor, who are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join their accomplished design team. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in delivering fantastic civil, structural, highways, and infrastructure solutions across a diverse range of design and build projects. This is a fully remote position, that offers the perfect blend of technical challenge and career development opportunities.

Working on some of the most exciting projects within the rail, highway, and water sectors, you’ll be joining a team that takes pride in delivering innovative engineering solutions for both in-house and external clients. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you’ll lead the technical and commercial delivery of infrastructure engineering design projects, managing everything from hands-on designs to client relationships and fee management.

Responsibilities

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will:

  • Develop designs, drawings, and technical reports that bring projects to life.
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and investigations, ensuring a hands-on approach.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
  • Stay up-to-date with standards and codes of practice while participating in CPD activities to sharpen your skills.
  • Plan and manage project delivery, ensuring time and cost goals are met.
  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand and exceed project objectives, fostering strong and lasting relationships.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (BSc, BEng, or MEng) and Chartered Engineer status (ICE).
  • Strong expertise in below-ground drainage and external works design, including flood risk assessments.
  • Proven experience with S104/S106 works and an in-depth knowledge of UK drainage standards.
  • A track record of success using design tools like Civils 3D and MicroDrainage.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-first approach.
