We are looking for a seasoned Structural Engineer to step into a permanent position, within our client’s specialist structural engineer consultancy, based in London. Within this role, the selected professional will be able to work on a hybrid basis, enhancing their skills and abilities across a range of complex refurbishment projects, ensuring the growth of their impressive professional portfolio.

-Competitive salary ranging from £37,000-£50,000 (depending on experience).

Responsibilities:

-Create safe and durable structural designs that ensure regulatory compliance, selecting appropriate materials and using CAD software for detailed simulations.

-Prepare concise technical reports, drawings, and calculations for a variety of structural systems, looking into pressures, loads, and stresses.

-Monitor project progress through site inspections and ensure contractor work meets required structural standards.

-Work alongside architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing technical guidance throughout each project phase.

-Manage planning applications and ensure full compliance with all relevant building regulations.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree, or ideally higher, in Structural Engineering, or a related discipline, ideally with a chartered status, or actively working towards achieving one.

-4+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer, producing high quality design works for a range of refurbishment projects.

-Strong proficiency with the use of relevant software tools, such as Tedds, Tekla, Robot, AutoCAD, STAAD, MIDAS, SAP2000, or other related platforms and resources.

-Significant acknowledgement of relevant UK building regulations, and industry standards, codes, and key legislation.

-Effective communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to deliver projects within a limited deadline and budget.
