We have an exciting new opportunity, here at Blueprint Recruitment, for an experienced Structural Engineer to be an active member of a well-established engineering, architecture, and environmental organisation on a contract basis, outside IR35. Within this role, you will be required to work on a remote or hybrid basis, working one day a week from one of our client’s offices in Manchester, London, or Glasgow. The successful candidate will be managing a variety of high-profile Mission Critical projects.
-Competitive hourly rate ranging from £46-£50 (depending on experience).
-Remote or Hybrid working arrangements (1 day a week on-site).
Responsibilities:
-Produce concise structural designs and assessments for a variety of large-scale Mission Critical projects, ensuring quality, safety, functionality and constructability.
-Create and analyse accurate calculations, reports, and drawings, ensuring they all meet a high standard of quality.
-Work alongside other professionals, including contractors, stakeholders, and architects, to ensure complete compliance and implementation of client requirements.
-Work on multiple concurrent projects, ensuring that they are developing effectively and efficiently, at a high quality and a timely manner.
-Guide and mentor junior engineers, promoting staff and project development through ongoing training and support.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or in a similar field, with a chartered status, or working towards attaining one.
-Extensive experience as a Structural Design Engineer, or a related role, with previous experience working on Data Centre and Mission Critical projects.
-Impressive portfolio showcasing previous works and strong ability to design and manage project designs and drawings.
-Solid understanding of current UK structural codes, regulations, standards, and best practices.
-Proficient understanding of structural design software tools, such as Robot, Tekla, and IDEA, and the process of writing reports.
-Strong communicator with the ability to build rapport with clients and other professionals, and a problem-solving mindset.
