Our client, a leading building services consultancy, is on the hunt for a skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their organisation, on a 6-month contract basis, outside IR35. This position offers flexible working arrangements, in which candidates will be able to work either on-site or on a hybrid basis, where all works will centre around our client’s main office in London. Expand your expertise with a range of Commercial and Residential projects when you join this leading organisation.  

-Competitive hourly rate ranging from £40-£44 (subject to experience).

-Flexible working arrangements (hybrid or on-site).

Responsibilities:

-Manage and oversee the design developments for a variety of Commercial and Residential projects, stages 1-4, with some elements of stage 5 development.

-Create and analyse drawings, specifications, calculations and project documents, ensuring that all works comply with client requirements.

-Ensure that works comply with current industry standards and regulations, such as BS 7671, Building Regulations, and CIBSE guidelines, whilst integrating design solutions.

-Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to allow for smooth and transparent building design implementation.

-Conduct site visits and inspections, as well as providing technical support with regards to project concerns and queries during project handover.  

-Guide, and provide support to, junior or associate engineers, providing constructive feedback, promoting development and progression.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline, with, or working towards, a chartered status.

-Extensive experience as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, or a related role, with a focus on Commercial and Residential projects.

-Strong understanding of current industry standards, both UK and international, and other related regulations.

-Extensive experience with the use of software tools, such as Revit MEP, Dialux or Relux, ETAP, SKM, or DIgSILENT.

-Solid communication and organisation skills, with strong leadership skills and initiatives.
