Are you ready for the next step in your career?

Our client is seeking a talented Geotechnical Engineer to bring their invaluable skills and expertise to their geotechnical and technical works consultancy, in a permanent position. This opportunity allows the chosen candidate to work on a variety of geotechnical engineering projects, whilst being able to work on a hybrid basis that includes regular office attendance in London.

-Competitive salary ranging from £50,000-£65,000 (subject to experience).

Responsibilities:

-Produce detailed geotechnical designs, for a variety of projects, focusing on structural retention, basements, and slope stability.

-Develop and maintain concise project specifications, reports, documentation, and risk assessments, whilst assisting with geotechnical bid or tender submission processes.

-Liaise with project professionals, clients, and other key parties, ensuring transparency and clarity, allowing for accurate geotechnical solutions to be integrated.

-Conduct regular site inspections, oversee construction processes, and monitor geotechnical performance, ensuring efficient working and design intent alignment.

-Promote the ongoing professional development of junior engineers by providing support and mentorship, allowing for high quality performance across all works.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree, or above, in Geotechnical and/or Civil Engineering, or a similar discipline, ideally with a Charted Engineer status, or working towards achieving one.

-Profound experience as a Geotechnical Engineer, or a similar role, working on projects with a large focus on basement, slope stability, and wall retention design.

-Strong business development initiatives, with the willingness to support the progression of junior engineers through ongoing mentorship.

-Significant communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively with other project professionals, clients, and stakeholders.

-Proficient ability to work independently, managing workload effectively, whilst also having a strong attention to detail, and a forward-thinking and problem-solving mindset.
