The Opportunity

An established building services consultancy is looking to appoint an Electrical Design Engineer on a contract basis to support a strong pipeline of work. The role will focus primarily on retail projects for major blue-chip clients, including large national retailers.

This is an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for ongoing work for the foreseeable future for the right individual.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering electrical building services designs across retail-led projects, working closely with internal teams and clients in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

·         Produce electrical designs and technical documentation for building services projects

·         Support projects from concept through detailed design stages

·         Coordinate with other MEP disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions

·         Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and client requirements

·         Respond to design queries and support project delivery as required

Key Requirements

·         Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within building services

·         Strong understanding of MEP design principles

·         Experience working on retail projects is highly desirable

·         Comfortable working in a hybrid environment

·         Good communication skills and ability to work independently
