An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Graduate or Junior Structural Design Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy in London on a hybrid basis.

This role is ideal for a Structural Engineer with 1–5 years’ experience, looking to develop their career within a high-performing design team while progressing towards professional chartership.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of residential, healthcare, commercial and education projects, supporting the delivery of innovative and technically complex designs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Structural Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the design and analysis of structural engineering projects
• Producing calculations, drawings and technical design documentation
• Supporting the delivery of projects across multiple sectors
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including architects and civil engineers
• Supporting project delivery in line with programme and quality standards

Key Requirements

To be considered for this Structural Design Engineer role, candidates should have:

• Upwards of 1 years’ experience as a Structural Design Engineer
• A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Experience working within a UK engineering consultancy environment
• Working knowledge of FEA software such as SCIA or GSA
• Strong understanding of structural design principles
• Ability to produce calculations and technical documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable:

• Progression towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
• Ability to produce sketches and mark-ups (Bluebeam, hand sketches or similar)
