Associate Structural Engineer – RC High-Rise Projects

Location: London (Hybrid – 3 Days per Week in Office)
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum + Bonus

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Structural Engineer to join a growing structural engineering consultancy in London.

This role offers the chance to take a leading position within a dynamic structures team, delivering complex reinforced concrete (RC) high-rise projects while managing and developing a team of engineers.

The successful Associate Structural Engineer will play a key role in technical leadership, project delivery and team management, working on high-profile developments within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week in the London office.


Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Structural Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the delivery of RC high-rise structural engineering projects
  • Producing and reviewing structural calculations, drawings and technical reports
  • Managing and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinating with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ensuring designs comply with UK standards, regulations and best practice
  • Overseeing project delivery to meet programme, budget and quality targets
  • Supporting team growth and contributing to business development activities

Requirements

To be considered for this Associate Structural Engineer role, candidates should have:

  • Proven experience working as an Associate Structural Engineer
  • Strong experience delivering RC high-rise building structures projects
  • Experience managing engineering teams and project delivery
  • Strong knowledge of structural design standards and UK regulations
  • Experience working within a UK engineering consultancy environment
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills

Desirable:

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
  • Experience working on large-scale residential or mixed-use high-rise developments
