This Senior Geotechnical Engineer role is ideal for someone with strong geotechnical analysis experience who enjoys solving complex ground engineering challenges across high-profile infrastructure projects. You'll provide technical expertise on schemes involving power networks, gas infrastructure, pipelines, renewable energy and major civil engineering developments.
The successful Senior Geotechnical Engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, delivering geotechnical assessments and advanced numerical modelling to support nationally significant infrastructure projects.
The Role
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
- Delivering geotechnical design and technical assessments across major infrastructure projects
- Undertaking advanced geotechnical analysis using PLAXIS 2D and PLAXIS 3D
- Supporting projects involving energy infrastructure, utilities, pipelines and power networks
- Producing geotechnical reports, calculations and design recommendations
- Advising project teams on ground engineering risks and mitigation strategies
- Working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop practical engineering solutions
- Supporting site investigations and interpreting geotechnical data
- Attending technical meetings and occasional site visits when required
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant industry standards and client requirements
This Senior Geotechnical Engineer position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of nationally important infrastructure projects while remaining technically hands-on.
