This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Drainage Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering a varied portfolio of infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the UK.
The role will involve drainage design across water projects, data centres, highways schemes, access roads and theme park developments, providing exposure to a broad range of technically varied projects.
The position is ideally suited to an engineer with around 4–6 years of post-graduate experience, with Chartered status desirable. Hybrid working is available from any UK office.
The Role
You’ll be involved in:
- Delivering drainage design across infrastructure and development projects
- Designing surface water and associated drainage systems
- Supporting drainage design for water and data centre developments
- Working across highways and access road schemes
- Contributing to projects involving Section 278 and Section 38 agreements
- Producing and developing designs using Civil 3D, InfoDrainage and Flow
- Preparing and reviewing technical design information
- Coordinating drainage requirements with highways and wider civil engineering disciplines
- Resolving technical design and coordination issues
- Supporting projects throughout design development and delivery
What They’re Looking For
- Around 4–6 years of post-graduate Drainage Engineering experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong drainage and infrastructure design experience
- Experience using Civil 3D
- Experience with InfoDrainage and/or Flow
- Good understanding of highways and development infrastructure
- Knowledge of Section 278 and Section 38 agreements
- Ability to produce and review technical design information
- Strong technical and problem-solving capabilities
- Good multidisciplinary coordination skills
- Chartered status is highly desirable
Experience across water, data centres, highways, access roads or other major infrastructure developments would be particularly beneficial.
