Our client, an innovative architecture firm, is looking for a skilled BIM Technician to join their dynamic team on a contract basis, outside IR35. This is an amazing opportunity to work on a variety of Commercial, Residential, and Hospitality projects, operating on a hybrid basis from their main office in London. -Competitive hourly rate of £30-£35 (subject to experience).
-Hybrid working arrangement (four days in office).
Responsibilities:
-Create and develop in-depth Revit models, across a range of projects from stages 2-4, whilst overseeing the development of Revit library, and maintaining Revit families.
-Produce concise BIM templates, plans, and standards, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout, with the use of relevant software tools.
-Take on a BIM Coordinator role, focusing on model integrity maintenance, BIM model management with external consultants, and BIM standards implementation.
-Conduct clash detection assessments, whilst reviewing performance and coordination across a range of project teams, ensuring efficient project delivery.
-Implement other relevant industry tools and resources to promote BIM workflow development and the transition from ArchiCAD to Revit.
-Support the development of documentation workflows and knowledge-sharing strategies through the implementation of new technology advancements.
Requirements:
-3+ years of experience as a BIM Technician, or a similar role, working on a range of Commercial, Residential, and Hospitality projects.
-Significant understanding of BIM standards and processes, ideally with previous experience with ArchiCAD, and scripting resources, such as Grasshopper and Dynamo.
-Strong abilities with BIM coordination, Revit family production, federated model management, model template personalisation.
-Profound technical background, with an understanding of cloud-based collaboration tools and key plugins, and other relevant software tools.
-Effective communication and mentoring skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, whilst assuming a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
