We have an exciting new opportunity, here at Blueprint Recruitment, for a skilled CAD Technician to join a leading engineering firm, in a permanent position. Within this position, you will be required to work on a hybrid basis, working across the country. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of complex Water and Wastewater projects, leading and managing our client’s design team.

-Competitive salary ranging from £40,000-£55,000 (depending on experience).

Responsibilities:

-Manage and oversee the production and delivery of 3D model designs and BIM systems for a variety of water and wastewater treatment projects.

-Introduce and maintain BIM workflows, strategies, and standards to allow for the project to follow high quality and consistency throughout.

-Guide and mentor the design team, consisting of CAD and BIM technicians, providing ongoing training and support.

-Collaborate with numerous professionals, ranging in disciplines, to allow for an effective integration of design specifications, whilst conducting clash detection tests.

-Review models and designs, providing feedback and guidance, to allow for quality, health and safety, specification alignment, and compliance to be maintained.

-Keep up-to-date records and documentation of all projects works and promote development across BIM deliverables.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Architecture, or a similar field, with extensive experience with leadership and digital design management.

-10+ years of experience as a CAD Technician, with experience creating CAD/BIM models and designs for Water and Wastewater projects.

-Solid proficiency with the use of software tools, such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and/or other tools, including model coordination and clash detection systems.

-Strong understanding of the implementation of BIM standards whilst ensuring current regulations are being followed.

-Adequate grasp of pertinent design and engineering codes within the Water sector.

-Excellent communication skills, with a commitment to support and train colleagues.
