Blueprint Recruitment is currently working with a large design and engineering consultancy who are looking for a GIS Mapping Co-Ordinator to join their site over in Bristol on a 6-month contract basis. The Mapping Coordinator is required to support with the delivery of digital map-based solutions. Working to a high level of accuracy, the role focuses around the digitisation and georeferencing of raster data for the production of my clients Utility Search Map product, a composite digital model of utility assets. The role also entails the quality checking of outputs of other members of the team.
Responsibilities:
Follow processes closely to digitise utility data accurately.
Processing new orders and supporting with quality checking of deliverables.
Proactively identify opportunities to add value to the product / service we provide to our clients.
Monitoring team inbox to support with flow of orders and resolve queries.
Audit/quality check the work carried out by colleagues.
Liaise with other teams/clients/utility companies to resolve issues and build relationships.
Proactively identify opportunities to increase the efficiency & productivity of the team’s processes.
To undertake additional ad hoc activities as required.
Supporting other teams within our practice as required.
Essential Criteria
Experience using computer aided design software and GIS Mapping systems including AutoCAD and ArcGIS Pro
Knowledge of GIS methodologies and principles.
Good attention to detail.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Clear, concise communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively.
A high level of organisation and professionalism.
Ability to multi-task and manage projects simultaneously.
Ability to identify, analyse and resolve problems.
Desirable Criteria
Experience of working in the utility industry, preferably in a service delivery environment.
Prior experience or knowledge of utilizing technology for process efficiencies.
Experience in a client facing role.
