Your key roles and responsibilities will include:
Supporting the senior Engineers, Associates, and Directors in undertaking mechanical design and consultancy work, producing mechanical design drawings, calculations (using Hevacomp and IES etc)
Reports, specifications and schedules
Liase with other design members internal and external whilst representing the business at meetings where appropriate
Fulfil the technical responsibilities of a mechanical engineer including but not limited to:
Carrying out Surveys of existing facilities and preparation of survey reports
Assisting with early-stage design works, load estimates and assessment of plant area spatial allowance
Assisting in the production of reports as required, including relevant supporting documentation and building regulations
Production of CAD drawings
Essential skills, experience and attributes:
Competence in AutoCAD and knowledge of Revit
Studying towards chartership and maintenance of CPD requirements
Knowledge of energy and thermal modelling software such as IES
Good numeracy, literacy and computing skills
Effective communication skills
Ability to present and explain the thought process behind your own design work
Engineering degree preferred (Minimum engineering HNC/D or equivalent
Previous experience in a building services consultancy
