Blueprint Recruitment has an amazing opportunity for a Principal Process Engineer to join a leading engineering and project management consultancy in London on a permanent basis. With offices across the globe, our client has considerable experience in a range of sectors, including building services, process and architecture and are now seeking a Principal Process Engineer to join their team to work on a variety of exciting projects.

Key responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

Production of the deliverables throughout the design process such as: Basis of Designs, Scopes of Work, Method Statements, Schedules, Block Cable Diagrams, Procurement Specifications, Risk Assessments, Technical Files, etc. and other technical documentation to comply with design standards, safety legislation / regulatory requirements and Client requirements.
Preparation of designs and specifications as well as supporting calculations to validate designs.
Preparation of installation, commissioning, and operating documents.
Ensure compliance of own work and that of others with in-house Quality Assurance and Management system.
Attend site visits to support projects - this may involve travel (primarily in the UK).
Checking and approval of other team members’ deliverables.
Liaise with Sub-Contractors providing equipment packages or specialist services, and ensure the technical compliance of their work.
Develop and maintain client relationships.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

10+ years’ experience of design or operations in a relevant industry, e.g. Nuclear, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, etc.
Good working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office software.
Experience in developing the following: Functional Design Specifications, Control Philosophies, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Cable Calculations, PLC Specifications, Instrument Datasheets, Instrument Schedules, Basis of Designs, Network Architectures, Safety Substantiation Documents, Operation & Maintenance Manuals / Procedures.
