Our client is a well-respected and market-leading engineering
consultancy who currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Project
Manager to join them on a permanent basis just outside Carlisle. The successful
candidate will work alongside. Project Engineers and Scientists to oversee the
delivery of large, complex engineering/construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on some major projects and play
a key role in driving these forward.
Role:
- Drive successful, efficient project delivery through focus,
perseverance, resilience and strong working relationships with
Project Engineers, Scientists and delivery teams
- Plan & track project delivery, proactively managing the
critical path
- Resource and financial forecasting
- Procurement planning, tracking and managing delivery of key items
- Risk anticipation and proactive problem solving
- Track risks, issues & key project KPI's including compliance
with site and company procedures including HSE and CDM
- Internal and external project reporting
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships,
flexing style to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Identify critical project and client dependencies and proactively
manage
- Focus on an efficient delivery to maximise revenue
- Manage scope, identify any creep and manage commercially
- Manage and control budgets to achieve target profit
Requirements:
- Fluent
English speaker
- Has structured methodology
experience (Prince 2 etc.)
- Must be willing and able to
obtain and maintain a U.K. SC Clearance (application for clearance will be
assisted by the client)
- Has sound working knowledge of
Microsoft Office applications including MS Project
- Plan &
track project delivery
- Provide
resource and financial forecasting
- Track and
manage delivery of key items
- Track risks,
issues & key project KPI's including compliance with site and company
procedures including HSE and CDM
- Deliver
project reports (internally and externally)
- Build strong
internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Manage and
control budgets to achieve target profit
- Has strong
attention to detail and good organisational skills
