My client are a reputable UK Water Company who currently have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Planning Manager to join them in the Bristol Area.
As the Asset Planning Manager you will work as part of a matrix organisation to support other areas of the Asset Strategy & Planning Team as required. You may also line manage 1 or 2 Asset Planning (Senior/Assistant) Engineer, supporting them in their day to day to work and working with them to develop their skills and experience.
Setting the long-term asset class strategy.
Contributing to the regulatory business planning process (PR24).
Supporting the annual rolling refresh of our business plan and setting the Annual Delivery Plan for the specific Performance Commitments and key projects linked to their area of responsibility.
Promoting projects into the capital programme and sponsoring those projects through to completion and handover to Operations.
Understanding asset health and reliability through; lag indicators/metrics, lead indicators/metrics, programmes of asset inspection. Use this knowledge to inform the need for planned/proactive maintenance and asset renovation/replacement.
Reviewing performance and cost trends for assets and identify ways to optimise how the asset operates.

What are the requirements for this role?
Degree Qualified – preferably with a mathematical/statistical or engineering discipline.
Good understanding of potable water treatment processes and process science.
Proven experience operating at a technical leadership level with knowledge of data analysis techniques and writing of technical reports and presentations.
Asset management experience preferably within regulated utilities.
Investment forecasting at both strategic and tactical levels.
Development and operation of plans and models.
Cost analysis experience.
