Our client is a global shipping company who are currently looking for a Documentation Coordinator to join them in Southampton. The selected candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate execution of the activities within the export documentation process.
Responsibilities:
Create bills of lading accurately and timely and in accordance with shipper’s instructions
Create invoices accurately and timely where required
Release bills of lading to customers in accordance with customer’s credit agreements
Service out internal and external customers via various communication channels
Analyse and resolve issues related to bills of lading
Analyse and resolve issues related to invoicing
Issue manifest corrections if and when required
Monitor and correct EDI messaging in relation to the Documentation process
Keep Ocean systems updated as required
Meeting monthly Documentation KPIs
Comply with the Ocean documentation processes
Accountabilities:
Delivering on Documentation KPI’s
Legal compliance within the Documentation activities
Compliance with Customs rules and regulations within the area of Documentation
Customer satisfaction
Authority to respond to our customer’s requests within areas of responsibility
Authority to sign according to the delegation of authority policy
Qualifications/Competencies:
Shipping Documentation - international shipping & local authority regulations a plus
MS Office - i.e Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Systems - Customer Service applications
Customer Focus - Identifying and understanding customers shipping and logistics requirements
Communication
Time Management - Prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
Teamwork - Working within and across various teams
Work accuracy - Quality and attention to detail
