Our client is an engineering consultancy who have a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Process Engineer to join their office in Leeds. The successful candidate will lead and motivate their Water Team and use their technical management skills to help achieve our client’s ambitions for AMP7.

Responsibilities:

  • Working within a team environment.
  • Work in close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects as required
  • Assisting in the progression of more junior members of the process team
  • Assist the Project Manager in clarifying project briefs, agreeing deliverables, key milestones, project methodology, quality assurance and control strategy.
  • Responsible for the process outputs of a project.
  • Responsible for checking of process design deliverables produced by other members of the process team.
  • Assess, document and communicate design changes to the Project Manager.
  • Recognising the importance of delivery timescales.
  • Complying with the Company Integrated Management System (IMS).

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all work is carried out in full compliance with the Company’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Provide technical guidance, support and training to colleagues.
  • To work in supervised and unsupervised environments ensuring that the technical content of all work carried out is correct and carried out in accordance within agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Report to appropriate team leader / project manager on all issues associated with project work.
  • Work in close collaboration with team members and other disciplines and have an appreciation of their role.
  • Recommend / implement improvements to technical policies, process and design solutions where applicable
  • Co-ordination of activities in conjunction with Project Managers and Team Leaders
  • To adhere to the company Health and Safety Policy.

 

Experience /Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the technical management of projects.

  • Knowledge of design principles associated with water and wastewater.

  • Knowledge of Hazardous Area Classifications.

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office.

  • Degree level qualified in Process Engineering.

  • Chartered Engineer.
