Location: WFH policy of 3 days in the office. However, the candidate would probably need to spend a bit of time in both the London and Bath offices, so there may be scope for more flexibility regarding this.

Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Principal or Associate Civil Engineer to join a growing civil engineering team in Bath. This is a senior technical role suited to an experienced engineer who is confident in leading project delivery while also contributing to winning new work.

The role offers involvement across a diverse project portfolio, including laboratories, leisure facilities, sports developments, education schemes, and commercial workspace projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the civil engineering design and delivery of multiple projects

Oversee and produce detailed designs, including:

·         Drainage strategies and calculations

·         Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)

·         Cut and fill analysis

·         Minor highways design

·         Prepare technical reports, specifications and supporting documentation

·         Review and approve designs produced by junior engineers

·         Liaise with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary teams

·         Support bids and proposals, contributing to securing new work

·         Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Requirements

·         Experience operating at Principal or Associate Civil Engineer level

·         Strong background in infrastructure and drainage design

·         Proficiency in Civil 3D, Flow, AutoCAD (or similar software)

·         Experience producing FRAs and drainage strategies

·         Understanding of cut and fill analysis and minor highways design

·         Chartered status preferred (consideration may be given to those working towards chartership)

·         Ability to combine strong technical delivery with involvement in work-winning activities
