Attention all Lead CAD Technicians!

Blueprint Recruitment are working alongside a leading infrastructure contractor who are  seeking a talented Lead CAD Technician to join their team. This long-term contract position is located in either Newcastle or Leeds, and will require the successful candidate to operate on a hybrid basis. Our client is providing a great opportunity to work on a variety of exciting substation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that work meets the quality of the client brief
• Collaborate with Engineers, Designers and other project staff
• Help create, train & develop a team capable of producing drawing and model outputs in line with Digital specifications/requirements
• Create detailed technical drawings and plans
• Review drawings to identify potential design issues
• Maintain records of all drawings and project documentation
• Assist in preparing and assembling project presentations and proposals
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers and vendors as needed
• Stay updated on industry trends, BIM software updates and best practices

Key Requirements:

• A degree in a relevant field 
• Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial
• Proficiency in Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD
• Strong experience in technical drawing and drafting
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to liaise with stakeholders, including clients and other design teams
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
