Blueprint Recruitment have a fantastic new opportunity for a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading design company on a long-term, fully remote contract basis.

Our client is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated engineers to join their mission critical team, so a solid background in designing and delivering large scale data centre projects is compulsory to be considered for this role.  

The successful candidate will be joining a global design and engineering consultancy with a reputation for delivering impactful solutions across a variety of sectors, including infrastructure, architecture, and environmental services. With a strong presence worldwide, they are committed to innovation, sustainability, and collaboration, ensuring their projects meet the evolving needs of communities and clients alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and review mechanical designs, schematics, and technical drawings using CAD software.
• Perform detailed mechanical assessments, system designs, and oversee the implementation of engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, safety, and quality teams, to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Conduct site visits and inspections, ensuring that all mechanical work complies with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, contributing to overall project success.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience working on data centre projects.
• Strong mechanical engineering background, with proficiency in system design, installation, and project management.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Comfortable with a predominantly remote setting.
