Blueprint Recruitment are working alongside a renowned multidisciplinary consultancy who are on the lookout for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a long-term contract basis. Located in Manchester, this is a fantastic opportunity for the selected candidate to work on a variety of exciting Hospital projects.

Our client is a multidisciplinary consultancy providing sustainable solutions to meet the planning, engineering design and project delivery needs of the property, infrastructure, environment and energy markets. The company has grown into a leading engineering and environmental consultancy with offices throughout the UK and internationally.

Key responsibilities:

·         Reporting to the Design Lead, you will be responsible for the various mechanical / HVAC design processes from concept through to completion

·         Development of detailed designs suitable for procurement and installation. This will include sizing, selection, and space planning

·         You will be an integral part of a multi-service design and installation team

·         Proactive in ensuring effective communication and production of good quality information

·         Aid with the development of junior project and design engineers

Key requirements:

·         Strong Building Services experience

·         Competence of all major building service systems

·         Good working knowledge of Revit and HEVACOMP design software

·         Sufficient working knowledge to enable you to establish client’s requirements, and an ability to communicate effectively with specialist providers.

·         Able to work and lead as part of a team, delivering a fully co-ordinated and integrated solution
