Attention Mechanical Design Engineers! Blueprint Recruitment is excited to present an excellent opportunity with a well-established client. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers a predominantly remote working, with occasional visits to London sites. They also offer the flexibility to attend office in Kent if preferred.

Our client is a multidisciplinary construction consultancy focusing on sectors including education, commercial & retail, heritage, healthcare, leisure, industrial, protective & defence, private residential, public sector and residential developments.

Key Responsibilities:

-Design and develop mechanical systems and components from concept to completion.

-Perform calculations and simulations to ensure safety, functionality, and cost-effectiveness.

-Create technical drawings and specifications using CAD software.

-Liaise with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and project managers.

-Test and validate designs to meet industry standards and regulations.

-Ensure designs meet project timelines and budgets.

-Prepare and present reports and documentation for clients.

Key Requirements:

-Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).

-Experience working on educational projects is a bonus.

-Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc).

-Strong understanding of mechanical design principles.

-Experience designing mechanical components and systems.

-Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

-Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
