Mechanical Design Engineer with Public Health Expertise

Are you a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with Public Health experience?

Blueprint Recruitment is excited to offer a fantastic new opportunity to join an international, multi-disciplinary consultancy on an initial 6-month contract. This London-based role involves hybrid working, with three days per week in the office. The position focuses on commercial fit-out projects and requires expertise in both CAT A and CAT B.

About Our Client:

Our client is a highly respected international, multi-disciplinary consultancy with a strong presence in the London market. They deliver services across a broad range of sectors, including commercial, education, healthcare, residential, and community projects. Their expertise spans from large-scale new builds and refurbishments to smaller-scale design and construction projects.

They are seeking a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with proven mechanical and public health design experience to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Design Lead, managing mechanical/HVAC design processes from concept to completion.
  • Develop detailed designs suitable for procurement and installation, including sizing, selection, and space planning.
  • Work as an integral part of a multi-service design and installation team.
  • Ensure effective communication and the production of high-quality information.
  • Support the development of junior project and design engineers.

Key Requirements:

  • Public Health experience and a strong background in mechanical design.
  • Expertise in CAT A and CAT B commercial fit-out projects.
  • Significant experience in Building Services and competence in all major systems.
  • Proficiency in Revit and HEVACOMP design software.
  • Ability to establish client requirements and communicate effectively with specialist providers.
  • A team player who can deliver a fully coordinated and integrated solution.
