Blueprint Recruitment have partnered with a highly regarded company within the engineering sector, who are seeking a talented professional to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting water projects, contributing to high-quality engineering solutions while developing your skills in a supportive environment. Located in Birmingham, this is a hybrid role where the selected candidate will be expected to attend the office 2-3 days per week.

They specialise in providing cutting-edge solutions such as construction equipment, renewable energy systems, and smart manufacturing tools, including robotics and fuel cells.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, specify, and requisition mechanical engineering scopes for assigned projects and proposals.
- Direct day-to-day tasks for engineering teams, including draughtsmen and junior engineers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
- Oversee the production of drawings and documentation, conducting checks for accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Prepare requisitions for equipment, materials, and services, ensuring technical compliance.
- Respond to technical queries, review vendor documents, and carry out inspections and tests during manufacturing.
- Manage project timelines, revisions, and budgets effectively while maintaining communication with stakeholders.
- Support the production of operation and maintenance manuals and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies on quality assurance, health and safety, and environmental management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- HNC/D qualification (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Practical experience within the water/wastewater or other relevant industries.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software packages.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Desirable:
- A BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Membership of IMechE or similar professional bodies.
