Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are working alongside a leading multidisciplinary consultancy, who are on the lookout for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This opportunity is available in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol and Leeds, with a blend of home-working and office or site collaboration. Flexible arrangements, including part-time options, are also considered.

This position offers the chance to contribute to projects that are driving a carbon-free future. As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions that reduce carbon emissions while ensuring future energy security.

As part of the Net Zero Engineering team, you will be working on a variety of projects, ranging from feasibility studies to detailed designs and site-based assignments. Current initiatives include hydrogen production and storage as well as industrial decarbonisation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the technical aspects of mechanical engineering projects across various design phases, from initial feasibility to detailed design.
• Build strong relationships with clients and team members, working closely to deliver tailored solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and review Performance Standards for Safety.
• Critical Elements in relation to mechanical systems.

Key Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (MEng/MSc).
• Chartered Engineer status and membership in IMechE are highly desirable.
• Solid technical background and experience in regulated industries such as power, chemical, or oil and gas.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
