Blueprint Recruitment have an excellent new opportunity for a Principal Structural Engineer to join a leading design company on a permanent basis in Manchester. This opportunity is perfect for individuals looking to work on variety of projects throughout the Pharmaceutical, MOD, and Nuclear sectors. If selected, you will be required to operate on a hybrid basis, attending the Manchester office once per week.

Our client is a comprehensive design, engineering, and project delivery company with a focus on intricate infrastructure, process, and built environments throughout the entire project life cycle. Their expertise spans diverse disciplines, encompassing initial architecture, civil and structural engineering, and building services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead C&S design delivery across large single projects or multiple smaller projects, in single- or multi- discipline teams
• Report on project performance to Associate Engineer
• Tender preparation for projects of all sizes, including fee estimates
• Carry out technical design reviews / critiques of projects in progress
• A technical authority on civil and structural design
• Be open to and encourage innovation and sustainability
• Mentor, train and develop junior engineers
• Support individuals to maximise performance
• Day-to-day management

Key Requirements:

• A degree in Engineering or similar field
• Must be a Chartered Engineer
• Previous experience in a Principal position
• Eligible for SC clearance
• Proven experience in developing projects from concept to construction
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Prior experience in actively managing clients
• Experience in successfully leading the Structural Engineering delivery of projects
• The ability to make decisions and act on your own initiative
